PsiControle helps you organize patients, appointments, and financial information. This policy explains where your data is kept, how it is protected, and the choices you can make.
Your Data Starts on This Device
The app keeps the information you enter, such as patients, appointments, appointment series, documents, addresses, notes, reminders, payments, payment status, and your settings.
Your data stays on the device until you choose to use iCloud. Versions before 1.0.8 do not offer iCloud syncing. Updating the app keeps your data and does not turn syncing on automatically. This data is not sent to the developer’s servers.
You Choose Whether to Use iCloud
Starting with version 1.0.8, you can turn on syncing in PsiControle Settings after reading and confirming the explanation shown. Fully close and reopen the app to apply turning syncing on or off.
With syncing on, your patients, appointments, appointment series, documents, addresses, notes, reminders, and financial information are also saved in a private area of your Apple Account’s iCloud. This includes data you have already entered.
You can use this data on other devices with a compatible version of PsiControle and the same Apple Account. The development team and others responsible for PsiControle cannot access the contents of this private area. Other app users cannot access your records either.
Your settings, permissions, and device unlock method stay on that device. If you use a different account for App Store purchases, it does not change the iCloud account where your data is saved.
Syncing needs an available Apple Account, an internet connection, and space in iCloud. Sending and receiving may take time. Without internet, you can keep using the data on this device; changes wait for an opportunity to be sent.
Syncing also sends changes and deletions to your other devices. To keep a copy that does not follow these changes, export important data.
How Your Data Is Protected
Data saved on your device uses iOS protection. Data sent to iCloud is protected by encryption while being sent and while stored by Apple.
For extra protection of synced content, you can enable Advanced Data Protection in your Apple Account settings. It provides end-to-end protection: only your trusted devices can read this content. Apple cannot read it. PsiControle does not check or enable this option, and it is not required to use syncing.
Apple also keeps information needed for syncing to work, such as record identifiers and the connections between records. This operational information does not have the same end-to-end protection applied to the content.
Turning Off Syncing or Changing Accounts
Turning off syncing in PsiControle Settings keeps your data on the device and in iCloud. Fully close and reopen the app to stop syncing. Until then, changes may still be sent or received.
If you turn syncing back on, changes made while it was off, including deletions, may reach iCloud and your other devices. Turning syncing back on does not automatically recover deleted data.
Before signing out of your Apple Account, switching accounts, or turning off PsiControle’s iCloud access in your device’s Settings, export data you want to keep. These actions may delete data from this device, including changes that have not reached iCloud.
Importing and Exporting Data
You can import records from a CSV file, a spreadsheet format. The file is read on your device and may include names, contact details, record status, notes, document information, and addresses.
You can also export data in the formats offered by the app. The file is created on your device and sent only to the location or service you choose in iOS sharing options. After that, its protection and storage depend on that destination.
Calendar and Notifications
Calendar sync is optional. Full Calendar access is used only to create, update, and remove PsiControle appointment events in a dedicated or user-selected calendar.
The app does not import, store, or display the user's personal calendar events.
By default, calendar events and notifications use neutral text without patient name, notes, phone, email, document, or appointment type.
Notifications are used only for appointment reminders or app-related reminders configured by the user.
Siri, Shortcuts, and Device Search
You can choose to use Siri and Shortcuts for tasks such as checking your schedule, creating or completing appointments, and recording payments.
These Apple features receive or show the information needed to carry out your request. Reading or changing clinical data requires confirming your identity on the device, according to the protection configured in the app and iOS.
You can also allow patients to appear in Siri and Spotlight, the device’s search feature. This option can be turned off in PsiControle Settings. When on, the system receives information to find the record, such as the patient’s name and a code that identifies the record.
Subscriptions
Apple processes subscriptions and payment details through the App Store. PsiControle receives access confirmation to check whether you can use subscription features.
Collection and Tracking
PsiControle does not include its own tools to analyze your usage or track you across apps and websites. Your data is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising or analytics.
When you choose to use Calendar, notifications, Siri, Shortcuts, device search, subscriptions, iCloud, backups, or export, the necessary information is provided to Apple features or the destination you choose.
Statistics Provided by Apple
Depending on your Apple sharing settings, Apple may provide the developer with general statistics, such as download counts, app usage, subscriptions, and crashes. These statistics do not give access to the clinical and financial records kept in your private iCloud area.
Backups and Exported Files
A device backup is a safety copy managed by iOS according to your Apple Account settings. It is separate from PsiControle syncing. The app does not check whether this backup exists, is complete, or can be recovered.
Deleting data in PsiControle does not delete files you have already exported, copies you have shared, or earlier backups. You need to manage these copies where you saved them.
Where Your Data Is Shared
Patient, appointment, document, address, and note data is not sent to the developer’s servers. When you turn on syncing, you authorize this data to be saved in Apple’s iCloud. Other optional features and exports use the services or destinations you choose.
Keeping or Deleting Your Data
Clinical and financial records are not automatically deleted after a set period. They stay on the device and, if you use syncing, in iCloud until you delete them or a system action removes them.
You can delete records inside the app. With syncing on, these deletions are also sent to iCloud and your other devices when possible. Deleting a record on this device does not mean deleting all app data in iCloud: some data may not have reached this device yet.
PsiControle offers optional iCloud syncing. To manage or delete data saved in the cloud, use your Apple Account settings: tap your name, then iCloud and the storage section; look for PsiControle and review the options provided by the system. Names and options may vary by system version.
Before deleting, export a copy of important data and turn off PsiControle syncing on all devices. Close and reopen the app on each one. Deletion through Apple Settings can affect data on connected devices and cannot be undone. PsiControle does not guarantee that a local copy will be kept. If syncing resumes, data still on other devices may be uploaded to iCloud again.
See Apple’s guidance on app data. Exported files and independent backups are separate copies and must be managed where they were saved.
Turning off syncing or removing the app does not automatically delete data saved in iCloud. Removing the app deletes the data it keeps on this device, but not exported files, backups, or external copies.
Deleting data or removing the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancellation is managed in your Apple Account’s subscription settings.
Children's Privacy
The app is intended for professional use and is not directed to children.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
